Simulation of a Proposed Binding Model
نویسنده
چکیده
A model for cortex information processing is described which depends upon a combination of population, rate and temporal coding for action potential spikes. In this model, binding of information derived from one visual attention object occurs because attention causes a slight (~ 1 millisecond) shift in each spike in the sensory inputs derived from the object towards the nearest peak to the spike in a 40 Hz modulation frequency. This frequency modulation results in preferential processing of the information derived from the attention object. Simulations of populations of leaky integrator neurons with both excitatory and inhibitory connectivity demonstrate that this preferential processing occurs with physiologically reasonable synaptic integration times, and allows object categorization on time scales consistent with human cognitive

Calculation for Energy of (111) Surfaces of Palladium in Tight Binding Model
In this work calculation of energetics of transition metal surfaces is presented. The tight-binding model is employed in order to calculate the energetics. The tight-binding basis set is limited to d orbitals which are valid for elements at the end of transition metals series. In our analysis we concentrated on electronic effects at temperature T=0 K, this means that no entropic term will be pr...
متن کاملSimulation of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Structure and Peptide Loading into an MHC Binding Pocket with Teachers’Hands
Molecular understanding of three-dimensional (3D) peptide: MHC models require both basic knowledge of computational modeling and skilled visual perception, which are not possessed by all students. The present model aims to simulate MHC molecular structure with the hands and make a profound impression on the students.
متن کاملStudies of Interaction between Propranolol and Human Serum Albumin in the Presence of DMMP by Molecular Spectroscopy and Molecular Dynamics Simulation
The interaction between propranolol (PROP) and human serum albumin (HSA) was studied in the presence of dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP). DMMP is usually considered as a simulant for chemical warfare agents (CWAs). For this purpose fluorescence quenching, resonance light scattering (RLS), synchronous, three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation were emplo...
متن کاملIdentification of RNA-binding sites in artemin based on docking energy landscapes and molecular dynamics simulation
There are questions concerning the functions of artemin, an abundant stress protein found in Artemiaduring embryo development. It has been reported that artemin binds RNA at high temperatures in vitro, suggesting an RNA protective role. In this study, we investigated the possibility of the presence of RNA-bindingsites and their structural properties in artemin, using docking energy ...
متن کاملA Simulation-Optimization Model For Capacity Coordination In Make To Stock/Make To Order Production Environments
Capacity coordination, as the tactical level of hierarchical production planning in hybrid MTS/MTO systems, includes numerous important decisions. In this paper, two of these decisions i.e. finding the best strategy for the acceptance/rejection of incoming orders and determining orders’ due dates – are investigated. Also a simulation model is proposed to evaluate the efficiency of the presented...
متن کاملArtificial Neural Networks Analysis Used to Evaluate the Molecular Interactions between Selected Drugs and Human Cyclooxygenase2 Receptor
Objective(s): A fast and reliable evaluation of the binding energy from a single conformation of a molecular complex is an important practical task. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are strong tools for predicting nonlinear functions which are used in this paper to predict binding energy. We proposed a structure that obtains binding energy using physicochemical molecular descripti...
